Hello! I’m Mariel Cariker.

I’m deeply passionate about all things audio: podcasting, radio and music. I’m currently the marketing coordinator for Radiotopia, working with the podcasts on the network to help promote their shows.

Before my role at PRX, I was a podcast producer for Action! by Design, helping to spearhead a new podcast about the human experience. I also have experience doing freelance news writing and producing work at WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station.

I’m experienced in audio producing, editing and storytelling. I’ve worked with both NPR affiliates in Boston, WBUR and WGBH, working on podcasts, newscasts and audio research.

In my free time I like to write creatively, including short stories, creative nonfiction and poetry. My personal life goal is to tell a story at a Moth story slam.
