A 2015 study showed only 17.5 percent of people with disabilities were employed. Employment opportunities for people with disabilities are slowly opening. But some workers feel uncomfortable disclosing all information about their disability out of fear they won’t be hired. Even in a city like Boston, people with disabilities still struggle to find fulfilling jobs. This piece was featured on the BU News Service Podcast and aired on WBUR on January 14th, 2018.


FEM Slam, which stands for Feminist Empowerment Movement, is a slam poetry festival and tournament focused on uplifting and featuring femme performers. This piece was created and edited in October 2017.


The Boston Public Library opens its newest renovated section, a cafe affiliated directly with WGBH. They opened with a bang, with a full weekend dedicated to opening festivities. This piece was created and edited in October 2016.
